Welcome to hoopla, a digital media service that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. There are hundreds of thousands of titles to choose from, with more being added daily. Hoopla is like having your public library at your fingertips. Anytime. Anywhere.

Fort Smith Public Library customers will need their library card (in good standing; no fines of $2 or more and unexpired) to log in. If you have problems with your card, please contact the library.  You can use our new digital access-only library card or your regular library card to access hoopla.  Customers may check out a maximum of 6 items per library card each calendar month on hoopla.

You can stream titles instantly through your desktop browser or the mobile app. If you use the mobile app, you can also download titles to your device for offline playback later, where Wi-Fi may be unavailable. Titles are automatically returned and removed from your device at the end of the lending period.

A free hoopla app is available for Apple and Android.  It also works on smart TVs (Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV including the Fire Stick, and Roku).  Instructions can be found on our user guides page.

Movies and TV shows check out for 3 days.

Music checks out for 7 days.

Audiobooks, eBooks, and comics check out for 21 days.

The library has lots of online resources that you and your family can use for FREE from home.  Please checkout our online resources page for books, movies, and more things to explore from The Fort Smith Public Library.
