About Your Library
The Main Library is centrally located at 3201 Rogers Avenue, at the intersection of Rogers Avenue, Free Ferry Road, and Old Greenwood Road. Construction on the 67,000-square-foot, two-story building began in 1999, and the building opened on February 23, 2001.
The Main Library offers a full selection of books and videos for all ages, free Wi-Fi and a range of technology resources, a full schedule of programs and events, a top-notch genealogy and Arkansas history collection, and a café offering a full menu of premium coffee drinks, sandwiches, salads, and more.

It’s SOCKtober at the Fort Smith Public Library! We will be collecting NEW socks all month long to support Hope Campus.
Celebrate Family History Month
In celebration of Family History month, the Genealogy Department at the Main Library is giving away Adult and Children’s Family History Starter Kits. In addition, we are also giving away a basket of Genealogy Goodies.
Children and their caregivers are invited to the Main Library for storytime every Thursday at 10:00 AM. Lasting about 35 minutes, storytimes feature stories, songs, puppetry, finger plays, manipulatives, and crafts.
