Animalogy: A Day in the Life of Animalogy Animals!

Imagine your story through the eyes of live animals!  Join our friends from Animaloyg/NHECM for a Facebook Live event.  You will spend a "day in the life" of Animalogy animals, inspiring a lifetime of stories, fables, mythology, and tall tales.  Bound around with a Patagonian Cavy (and a possible appearance by his friend the Red Kangaroo), soar the skies with an Eurasian Eagle Owl, slither with a Burmese Python, crawl the earth with a Rose-haired Tarantula, and visit with a Hedgehog and Prairie Dogs!  For all ages, you can view the recorded program here

Imagine Your Story: Everyone Has One! is the theme of this special event!  Join musician and storyteller Aaron Fowler for a fun afternoon that will have you singing and dancing!  Ms. Bella, a 4 1/2-year-old classroom therapy dog, will be joining the festivities as well.  Mr. Fowler is from Wichita, Kansas and has been touring and performing in schools, libraries, festivals, and house concerts since 1995. www.facebook.com/fortsmithlibrary

Get ready to experience Beauty and the Beast in a new way with Stevens Puppets!  This timeless story about looking beyond the surface and beyond our differences to find the truth and dignity within each other, a strong and unselfish heroine sacrifices for her family and saves a man trapped in a prison of his own making.  Join Beauty on her journey from her good-natured acceptance of her family’s changing fortunes to her adventurous stay in the Beast’s castle as she teaches him to love himself and share that love with others.  Vibrantly colorful hand-painted scenery showcases hand-carved wooden marionettes who appear and disappear mystically through the magic mirror. Young and old alike will marvel at the science and technology which brings this magic to life. Tommy Terrific’s Wacky Magic Show is back with a new show, A Magical Fairytale!  This magic show is a unique blend of laugh-out-loud comedy coupled with sensational magic, all combined with an educational approach that is all about having fun with books. The show features Tommy as a big kid who shows up at your event to watch his Uncle Fumpernutter perform a magic show. When no one can find Uncle Fumpernutter, Tommy takes over! Unfortunately, Tommy has never done magic before, so he enlists the kids’ help following the instructions in the huge Magician’s Handbook. The magic works in wacky and unexpected ways, making Tommy Terrific’s Wacky Magic Show educational fun for the whole family. The Fort Smith Public Library invites you to join us at 10 AM on Thursday, July 9th for Not Quite Snow White: A virtual storytime with author Ashley Franklin on Facebook LIVE! Not Quite Snow White tells the story of Tameika, who is excited to audition for the school's Snow White musical, but when she overhears her classmates say she is too tall, chubby, and brown to play Snow White, she questions whether she is right for the part.  This book is very popular at the library, and we can't wait for you to meet the author!
