Authors in the Afternoon with D. Christopher Bader

Fort Smith author D. Christopher Bader will appear at the Main Library to promote and sign copies of his book, The Ridge County Almanac (Revised & Dangerous Edition), a collection of strange, darkly funny short stories set in Wyoming’s Bighorn Basin, where the frontier’s dust still clings to old secrets. Inside, cryptids haunt glacial lakes and abandoned coal shafts, hidden fires burn in the mountains, and the wilderness punishes bad decisions. Step in if you dare—out here, the wild has claws and legends refuse to die. 

D. Christopher Bader writes western noir with a crooked grin and a soft spot for small towns, eccentric weirdos, and Boston Terriers. He lives in Arkansas, works in public service, and spends his nights polishing trouble on the page. When he’s not writing, he’s probably drinking too much coffee or losing arguments with his dogs. Copies of The Ridge County Almanac will be available for sale and signing at the event.
