Color Our World Summer Reading Fun June 1-July 31 for Kids!

Are you ready for the Color Our World summer reading program?

Are you ready to read for fun and prizes? Grab your family and friends and sign up for the library’s online reading program June 1-July 31! It’s easy AND fun! Listeners can earn points by listening to books, and independent readers can earn points for time spent reading. The library will offer coloring books this year, featuring coloring pages of places in our libraries. Be sure to pick up your coloring book at any library location and get them stamped at each library department. Everyone who completes their coloring book will be entered to win a prize.

Log the time you spend reading!

Independent readers, you will earn a point for every minute you spend reading. For example, if you read 40 minutes, you’ll earn 40 points. You’ll earn prizes for reading 500 minutes and 1,000 minutes, plus brag tags for every 100 minutes. When you reach 1,000 points, you will earn your certificate, final prizes, and you‘ll be able to pick a library book to be dedicated to YOU! You will also be entered to win an end-of-summer GRAND PRIZE! The more you read, the more chances you’ll have to win.

Not reading on your own yet?

Sign up as a listener! Earn a point for every book you listen to.  You’ll earn prizes after listening to 25 and 50 books, plus brag tags for every 5 books. When you read your goal of 50 books, you will receive your certificate, final prizes, and you’ll also be entered to win an end-of-summer GRAND PRIZE! The more books you listen to, the more chances you’ll have to win!

Missions and Games

In addition to earning points by spending time reading, you can also earn points by completing missions! Missions are available on READsquared. Have fun by playing games that are available in READsquared. For information on how to get started, call us or visit any library location.
