All Together Now is this year’s summer reading theme, and all ages are invited to participate! 

The Fort Smith Public Library’s annual summer reading program for kids, teens, and adults will begin June 1. The program is one of the many ways the library works to create a community of readers and library users. AARP Free Tax Assistance

Tax season is upon us, and AARP is here to help!  AARP volunteers will be at the Windsor Branch Library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, February 1st through April 14th. Help is offered on a first come, first served basis. Hours for the free tax assistance are:

Tuesday 9:00AM-1:00PM

Wednesday 9:00AM-1:00PM

Friday 9:00AM-1:00 PM

We Miss You!

Hi Friends!

Rachel from the Windsor Branch here.  We sure miss seeing you at the library!  Since the library closed in March due to COVID-19, we’ve started doing some really cool new things to continue serving you.  The library started offering curbside holds pickup at the Main Library (yay!) and we are so glad to see how much you are enjoying it!  We also added hoopla as one of our eContent providers - a move I was super excited about because I love listening to audiobooks.  And, we’ve started creating virtual story times for your kiddos to watch from hom...

Welcome Rachel!

The library is excited to welcome new Windsor Drive Branch Manager Rachel Smith to the Fort Smith Public Library management team!  Rachel began work at the north side branch on July 10th and has hit the ground running!  She comes to us most recently from the Fayetteville Public Library, where she served as a Youth Librarian.  She has worked in libraries for six years, and was a library volunteer for six years before that.  She grew up in a very small town in Northwest Arkansas, and her mother would drive 45 minutes to take her and her brother to the library at least once...

(Drop Everything and Read) day?  The Windsor Drive Branch Library wants to challenge you to take some time out of your busy schedule and "Drop Everything and Read" for 30 minutes a day.  Reading grows your imagination, improves focus and concentration, and improves your memory.  Some of the most successful people in the world today take the time out to read, expand their minds, and grow their vocabulary.  We encourage you to take at least 30 minutes to put aside all distractions and enjoy books together with your friends...

What's Happening at the Windsor Drive Branch

Taxes, taxes, taxes!  It’s a busy time at the Windsor Drive Branch Library.  The library has once again partnered with the AARP tax assistance program to help the community with their taxes.  Volunteers will be on hand Wednesdays from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM, Thursdays from 2:30 – 6:30 PM, and Saturdays from 12:30 – 3:30 PM through April 13.  Need a little help with this year’s new tax forms and filing?  AARP will be here to help you.  There is no age or income restrictions to receive assistance for your basic tax filing.
