Reference Newspapers and Periodicals

Along with our collection of general reference books, we subscribe to 279 periodical titles. Most periodicals are held for two to five years.

We also carry several local and surrounding area newspapers.

We keep all back issues of the Southwest Times Record, and we have microfilm of the Fort Smith paper back to 1863. We keep the past six months worth of USA Today and the Wall Street Journal. We keep the past two months (Sundays Only) of the New York Times. We keep the past month of the Dallas Morning News (Sundays Only), and we keep the past month of the Tulsa World.

Some of these newspapers publish online versions of their papers on the World Wide Web. Links have been provided to the home pages of these newspapers, in case you want to view them online.
