Blind Links — includes links on adaptive technology, Braille, advocacy and training, and more.
Blind Readers Page — A guide to sources of information in alternative formats (including braille, recorded cassettes, large print, e-texts, web audio) accessible by people with print disabilities. This site contains about 1,200 links.
Center for Accessible Technology — This site covers general information about disabilities for children and adults. Includes assistive technology product reviews, as well as links to other disability resources.
disAbility.gov — This government-sponsored site "brings information on U.S. federal programs, services, and resources to Americans with disabilities and their families."
DRM Guide to Disability Resources on the Internet — This informative site is chock-full of information, including a list of online disability resources by region and a guide to finding disability information on the Internet.
HotBraille — See your name in Braille, convert letters to Braille and send them, or hook up with other HotBraille members who are interested in Braille and resources for the blind. Registration is free, but in order to access most of the services, you will need to register.
National Eye Institute — This government site includes information for patients, health care professionals, researchers, and the media. The National Eye Institute is part of the National Institutes of Health. You can find information here about clinical trials, and locate and request NEI publications.
National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped — This Library of Congress site includes information about NLS, an online talking-book catalog, NLS newsletter archive, and more. Search The NLS Catalog--You can search by Author, Title or Keyword
Prevent Blindness — This site provides information about eye problems, eye safety, news & resources, and more. Lots of good information is available. For instance, the children's section includes information about when children's eyes should be tested, what are signs of eye trouble in children, and even a checklist of safe toys.
Windows Accessibility Features — This Microsoft site contains information about how to use the accessibility features provided with the Windows operating system.
WebABLE — An informative site containing accessibility-related Web links. Also includes a library of related online articles, upcoming conferences, and more.
